Popular with male customers, quick & satisfying volume falafel cuisine

Falafel Brothers is a restaurant run by Daisuke Tsukahara, who is a vegan himself. This Ebisu restaurant is his second branch, the main one is in Roppongi.

By the way, Falafel is a Middle Eastern croquette, originating in Israel, made from crushed chickpeas mixed with spices.

The specialty of the restaurant, “Falafel Sandwich Set (Half)” 864 yen (tax included) is a sandwich with large size falafel and vegetables with pita bread and plenty of homemade sauce, perfect size to satisfy your appetite. Enjoy the ethnic aroma of spices when eating this falafel, which is crispy outside and softly fried inside.

There is also full size Falafel Sandwich available, which is larger than half size. You can also select base vegetables (lettuce / kale / spinach), two types of toppings (varies depending on the day), and finally a source (original / spicy / weekly). Set menu comes with a drink and French fries or soup.

The bright yellow eye-catching cake is gluten-free "turmeric chocolate cake" 550 yen (tax included). Soggy texture and turmeric match exquisitely. The sweetness of agave syrup is gentle.

Manpuku episode

The owner, Tsukahara, is a vegetarian himself. From the experience that there are few places in Japan where you can eat vegetables including vegan food, or even if there are such a vegan restaurants, they hardly give you full satisfaction, I opened this restaurant to serve what I wanted to eat. "In particular, Falafel has a strong taste and a lot of volume, so I thought it would be nice because even men will get full," says Tsukahara. Actually, Falafel Brothers seems to have many male customers! Among core fans the proportion of men is high as well. "Japanese food has a culture of dashi, and it uses a lot of meat and fish. I hear that some foreigners, even though they were vegans at their countries, they stop because of moving to Japan.

"I would like to create a restaurant where anyone can enjoy vegan food. "

Falafel Brothers has decided to open third restaurant in Shibuya PARCO in November 2019 following Roppongi and Ebisu. It's owner's dream is to expand it as vegan chain restaurant.
